Citation Analysis of Master’s Theses in the Department of Information and Records Management at Çankırı Karatekin University

This study aims to reveal the bibliometric characteristics and citation preferences of master’s theses completed in the Department of Information and Records Management at Çankırı Karatekin University between 2011 and 2021.
Abstract
The types, languages and currency of sources used in the theses were analyzed to evaluate the research trends of the department. The study provides important data for understanding the quality of postgraduate education outputs in the field of information and records management.
Methodology
- Citation Analysis: Thousands of citations in the theses were individually examined and converted into a dataset.
- Statistical Analysis: Distribution among source languages (Turkish, English, etc.) and source types (article, book, thesis) was calculated.
- Bibliometric Profile: The scientific communication network and citation culture of the department were mapped.
